موضوع تجريبي لشهادة التعليم المتوسط في اللغة الإنجليزية (النموذج 4)

المدة: ساعة ونصف

Last spring, our English teacher organised a school trip to the Casbah of Algiers. We left early in the morning and arrived at nine o'clock. A local guide, Mr Karim, welcomed us near Ketchaoua Mosque.

He explained that the Casbah was built on a hill facing the sea and that it was classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992. We walked through narrow streets and visited old houses with beautiful courtyards, fountains and colourful tiles. Mr Karim told us that the houses were built close to each other to keep them cool in summer.

At midday, we had lunch in a small traditional restaurant. Then, we visited the Dar Mustapha Pacha palace. I was surprised to see that some houses were in bad condition. Our guide said that people must help to protect this treasure because it is part of our history. I really enjoyed this trip and I will never forget it.
